Krisztina Meggyes is a freelance film director and producer. She received her Master's Degree in Documentary Directing from the University of Theatre and Film Arts in Budapest in 2015. Since then, she worked as director and producer in several documentary films and documentary series. Since 2015 she also works as a lecturer at the University of Theatre and Film Arts, teaching Ethics in Documentary Films and directing techniques at field work exercise. She also studies in the DLA program where she researches the social impact and ethics in documentary films. Her film Day 791 won the best short film award at the Budapest Documentary Film Festival in 2014. Her graduation film, Those, won the Hungarian Film Critics Award in ’Best documentary of the Year’ category in 2016.
